Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a certain website. Cookies allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you return to the website or browse its different pages.

2. How do we use cookies?

This website uses cookies and similar technologies for several purposes, depending on the context or product, including: temporary user input cookies (session-id) and/or persistent cookies limited to a few hours in some cases – we use them to store your preferences and settings on your device and to improve your experience. For example, saving your personal preferences in cookies allows you to avoid having to set preferences repeatedly.

Also, if you opt out of interest-based advertising, we store your opt-out choices in a cookie on your device; authentication cookies, used for authentication services during the browsing session – we use them to verify your identity. This cookie allows you to navigate from page to page without having to log in again on each page.

You can also save login data so you don’t have to log in every time you return to the website; user security cookies, used to detect authentication abuse, of limited duration – we use them to process information that enables security and to detect fraud and abuse; load-enabling cookies, during the browsing session – we use them to remember information you provide; persistent cookies for user interface customisation during the browsing session (or slightly longer) – we use cookies to enable you to provide feedback on the website; third-party cookies for sharing social media plugins for logged-in social media members – some of our websites include social media cookies, including those that allow users logged into a social network to share content through that network.

This occurs on websites that allow you to log in and register through social media accounts and when you share website content on social networks (e.g. via the “Like” button). The specific impact on your privacy will vary from social network to social network and depends on the privacy settings you have chosen on those networks. You can find out how to manage these cookies on their websites.

Some commonly used cookies include:

  • Adclearoptout
  • Facebook pixel
  • Facebook messenger (page like)
  • Google analytics
  • Google tag manager
  • Google maps
  • YSC
  • LOGIN_INFO
  • Opt-Out-Cookie

It is important to note that some videos embedded on our pages use a cookie to anonymously collect statistics about how you arrived and which videos you visited. Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website, but it will provide you with a better browsing experience. You can delete or block these cookies, but if you do so, some features of this website may not function.

Information related to cookies is not used to personally identify you, and pattern data is entirely under our control. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described here.

3. Do we use other cookies?

Some of our pages or subpages may use additional and/or different cookies from those previously listed and described. For example:

  • companies we hire to provide services on our behalf, such as website analytics, set cookies when you visit our websites,
  • companies that deliver content, such as videos or news or advertisements on our websites, set their own cookies. These companies use the data they process in accordance with their own Data Protection Policies, which may enable them to collect and combine information about your activities across multiple websites, applications or online services.

Details about them will be made available to you when they appear, and at that time we will request your consent, if you have not previously given it, in order to store those cookies as well.

4. Which cookies does Facebook Ireland Ltd. use?

The website collects, uses and manages your personal data found on the website’s Facebook page and which are accessible through the use of said page, which you can access via the website.

We use cookies if you have a Facebook account, if you use Facebook products, including our Facebook page and applications, or if you visit other websites and applications that use Facebook products (including the “Like” button or other Facebook technologies).

Cookies enable Facebook to offer you Facebook products and to understand the data it receives about you, including data about your use of other websites and applications, regardless of whether you are registered or logged in.

Cookies help provide, protect and improve Facebook products, for example by personalising content, customising and measuring ads and enabling a safer environment. Although the cookies Facebook uses may change from time to time in line with improvements and updates to Facebook products, they are used for the following purposes:

Authentication: we use cookies to verify your account and determine whether you are logged in so we can facilitate your access to Facebook products and display appropriate content and features.

Website and product security and integrity: we use cookies to protect your account, data and Facebook products.

Advertising, recommendations, analytics and measurement: cookies help us display ads and provide recommendations to businesses and other organisations for people who may be interested in their products, services or objectives.

Website features and services: cookies enable the use of functions we need to provide Facebook products.

Performance: we use cookies to provide you with the best possible service experience.

Analytics and research: we use cookies to gain insight into the use of Facebook products so we can improve them.

Facebook uses cookies and receives data when you visit these websites and applications, including device data and data about your activity without any additional action on your part. This occurs regardless of whether you have a Facebook account and whether you are logged in or not.

5. Do other parties use cookies associated with Facebook products?

Yes, other parties may use cookies on Facebook products to provide services to us and to businesses that advertise on Facebook. Our measurement partners, for example, use cookies on Facebook products to help advertisers understand the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on Facebook and compare the performance of those campaigns with ads displayed on other websites and in other applications.

Third parties also use cookies on their own websites and in their own applications in connection with Facebook products. To find out how other parties use cookies, please review their policies.

6. How to manage how Facebook uses cookies to display ads?

One of the reasons we use cookies is to show you useful and relevant ads on and off Facebook. You can manage how we use data to display ads using the tools described below.

If you have a Facebook account:

  • You can use ad settings to find out why a particular ad is shown to you and manage how we use data collected for ad display purposes.
  • To show you better ads, we use data that advertisers and other partners provide about your activity outside of Facebook Companies’ products, including websites and applications.
  • You can control whether we use this data to show you ads in your ad settings.
  • Facebook’s Audience Network advertising network is a tool that advertisers use to show you ads in apps and on websites outside of Facebook Companies’ products.

Regardless of whether you have a Facebook account, you can opt out of online interest-based advertising displayed by Facebook and other companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance in the US, Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada in Canada, or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance in Europe, or through your mobile device settings.

7. Which cookies does Google LLC and its affiliated companies use?

The website also uses certain Google services on the basis of which, through cookies, Google LLC also collects certain personal data.

When we refer to Google services, we mean:

  • Google applications
  • websites
  • devices such as Search, YouTube and Google Home
  • platforms such as the Chrome browser and the Android operating system
  • products integrated into third-party applications and websites such as ads
  • embedded Google maps

Google does not share your personal data with companies, organisations or individuals outside of Google, except in the following cases:

1. With your consent
Google may share your personal data outside of Google only with your consent.

2. With domain administrators
If you are a student or work for an organisation that uses Google services, the domain administrator and resellers managing your account will have access to your Google account.

I. Use of “Preferences” cookies

These cookies allow Google websites to remember information that changes the way the website behaves or appears, such as your preferred language or the region you are in.

II. Use of “Security” cookies

Google uses security cookies to authenticate users, prevent unauthorised use of login credentials and protect user data from unauthorised parties.

III. Use of “Processes” cookies

Process cookies help websites operate and provide services that website visitors expect.

IV. Use of “Advertising” cookies

This category of cookies helps Google make advertising more engaging for users and more valuable for publishers and advertisers.

V. Use of “Session state” cookies

Websites often collect information about how users interact with the website. These “session state cookies” help Google improve its services to provide users with a better browsing experience.

VI. Use of “Analytics” cookies

Google Analytics is Google’s analytics tool that helps website owners as well as application owners learn how their visitors use their website and application features.

You can export a copy of your data or delete it from your Google account at any time.

7. How can you control cookies?

You can control cookies and activate them as desired by pressing ACCEPT in the pop-up window. You can continue browsing the website without accepting cookies.

You can delete all cookies already stored on your computer, and most browser settings allow you to block the storage of cookies. If you block cookies, you may need to manually adjust some preferred settings each time you visit the website, and certain services and functions may not be available.
